Information about the Kirpan:
A Kirpan is a traditional dagger that can be found in many cultures around the world. In the history of the Sikhs, the Kirpan is one of the five K's worn by the Khalsa, meaning the pure ones. The Kirpan is a symbol of spiritual greatness, straightness, honesty and fully commited consequence to one's spirtual lifestyle. A Kirpan is not a tool for the household, neither a weapon to show-off, play with, or intentionally threatening someone. The Kirpan is honoured with respect and reverence by those who wear it, and represents the spiritual awareness that walking on the spiritual path is like walking on the blade of a knife.
