Hum Dhum – Mata Mandir This is a wonderful, highly energetic version of the Kundalini Yoga Mantra:

Hum Dhum Har Har Har Har Hum Dhum

Hum is a mantra meaning The God within ourselves.
Dhum means The God outside.
Har is the creative power of the universe.

This mantra opens the heart and gives us a powerful communication. It strengthens the ability and will to act. The music is very powerful and rhythmic. This Mantra was the Festival-Mantra at the Yoga Festival 2006 in FRance, where up to 20 musiciains filled the stage and created a fantastic, lively and powerful sound.

The recording was done one year later at the Yoga-Art Festival in Mexico, at the Iztac center at the foot of the volcano Iztacihuatl in a beautiful handmade Yurt with a straw covered floor with participants and musicians from that festival.
The incredibly powerful Live-atmosphere is captured in the first moment you listen or sing along with this CD.

The second Mantra on this CD is called Guru Gobind Singh Shakti Mantra - Laya Yoga Wahe Guru Chant.
Laya Yoga is a science of meditation relating breath, rhythm and mantra to produce altered states of consciousness. This is a meditation into ecstasy. We will use the mantra of Wahe Guru chanted in a special form and rhythm. It is a Guru Mantra that means: The ecstasy of God-consciousness that is beyond words to express.

For the meditation, please sit in easy pose with the elbows straight and hands in gyan mudra. Close the eyelids, concentrate at the brow point (third eye) and chant the mantra as follows with each breath:

Waheguru, Waheguru, Wahe Wahe Wahe Guru. Waheguru, Waheguru, Wahe Wahe Wahe Guru.

When the breath is out, inhale a deep and rapid breath and repeat. Enter a divine sound current and listen to the sound within. Continue for 11 to 31 minutes. To finish, inhale and concentrate the energy at the top of the head.

Note - The chanting was recorded In tantric style (men and women alternating.) However, to do the meditation as it was given you may sing every line.

Tracks:

  • Hum Dhum (23:46)
  • Laya Yoga Wahe Guru Chant (32:13)
