How it all started
Out of an intense Yoga-seminar in the mid-1980's awakened the vision to
offer and serve with products which can enhance people's wellness and life-quality,
and which are at the highest level in quality and naturalness. Soon after
that, Sat Nam Versand was founded in 1986 and is by now located in the northern
part of the Nature Park Odenwald, in central Germany.
The name SAT NAM is a mantra based on Sanskrit - it means "Truth"
or "True Identity".
The owner of Sat Nam Versand, Mr. Gurbasant Singh Thielefeldt, is a certified
yoga teacher with over 20 years of experience. Until today, we let ourselves
be guided by that initial inspiration. We chose to be a mail order, rather
than a shop, so we could better serve you especially if it is difficult
for you to have access to products such as ours.
Our Philosophy
Peace is the way and the goal - and it starts right here, with ourselves.
When we feel peace within, and we are aligned in harmony with ourselves
and our surroundings, we can radiate that peace to the outside and make
the world more peaceful. We believe that it lies within the strength,
as well as within the responsibility, of our kind of businesses, to create
harmony through action which is based on respectfulness and ecologic economy
which serves especially our customers. Rather than on competition, we
emphasise on cooperation which is useful to many and creates lasting peace.
Of course this includes a respectful dealing with our nature and our planet
earth. We do not represent specific, or fixed religious or other directions
or interests.
Our main focus lies in Yoga and Ayurveda. Besides that, you will find
a wide variety of products with a similar approach. In our growing Europe
we are available beyond the borders - naturally also in several different
languages. To partake in letting the WITH-each-other become a FOR-each-other,
is part of our vision and our service for you.
Development
Since the early 1990's, besides serving as a retailer, we are also serving
as a wholesaler. Since then, a growing range of products is at your availability.
Many helpful people and partners have supported the development of Sat
Nam Versand. And our customers have continuously supported us with their
excellent proposals and ideas.

With our products, we aim for giving you some great support in achieving
well-being and balance, relaxation in the midst of several influences,
and to simply enjoy life.
Most of our products are based on ancient wisdom which has remained true
throughout the ages and is always neutrally available for you. Through
their whole fullness and originality, they can create a balance to the
hectic life of our times.
As a special focus we are offering you our world-biggest range of Kundalini
Yoga products such as music-CDs, Books in several languages, DVDs and
much more from the Teachings of Yogi Bhajan. Yogi Bhajan brought the science
of Kundalini Yoga into the west in the late 1960's. Through his teachings,
and products such as YOGI TEA, he inspired us to serve you with healthy
and uplifting products.
In your interest, we select our products very carefully. We put a special
emphasis on offering you the highest possible quality and naturalness.
At the same time, the price, the production quality, the ecological and
ethical aspects as well as the appearance and economical aspects play
an important role.
Most of the food- or body care-products are produced from purely organic
ingredients ("kontrolliert biologischer Anbau: kbA") and are
certified accordingly. Others are controlled or analysed with acclaimed
modern methods. We are a certified business in trading with ecological/organic
products by the EG-controlsystem, DE-007-eco-control-department. Control
